Diario de una tía fotógrafa * camino al "fine art"

¡No puedo creer que ha pasado ya un mes desde que estuve en Seattle para el curso en creativeLive! Fue regresar y tener una inundación de sesiones por realizar y editar  (de la cual todavía no me recupero) y he tenido tiempo para poco más que trabajar y entrar a la rutina.  Así que la experiencia sigue estando ahí a medio digerir, todavía fresca en mi memoria.

Hace un par de semanas conseguí hacerme un huequito para fotografiar a la yoguini y el cuñado y probar algunas de las cositas que nos enseñó Sue Bryce en el curso pero hasta hace unos días tuve tiempo para editarlas, porque requieren más que sólo tocar una ojera por aquí, y una arruguita por allá. Hasta ahora mis fotos de maternidad eran bien simples, casi siempre en fondo blanco y con la ropa que trae cada mamá, así que yo integro su estilo con el mío, pero ahora, se trataba de crear un concepto, manejar texturas y darle un toque final más cercano a un cuadro.

Y tengo que decir que ¡Me encanta!  Próximamente me verán llevando mis sesiones hacia esta línea, porque creo que es original y les deja un recuerdo mucho más atemporal, independiente de las modas y la ropa de esta o la otra marca. 

Ya me dirán ustedes lo que opinan con este cambio, por lo pronto chequen lo guapa que se pone cada día mi hermanita, lista para convertirse en mamá.  ¡ya casi, ya casi!!!

I really can't believe a month has gone since I was in Seattle at creativeLive!  I came back to an overwhelming amount of sessions to realize and edit and haven't really caught up yet, so I've had little time to do anything except work and keep up with the rutine.  So the experience of the trip is still fresh in my mind, lot's of things to do and practice yet.

A couple of weeks ago I took a day and went home to photograph my yoguini sister and brother in law and tried some of what Sue Bryce taught us, but it wasn't until this last weekend that I had the time to edit those photos.  Up until now my maternity photos have been very classic, laid back, white background, moms choose their clothes and I only would edit a little face line here or wrinkle in the clothes there.  But this style goes beyond, I had to pick up the fabrics, the flowers, create a concept and then make an editing with far more depth and texture, closer to a painting.

And I have to say I love it!!!!! Now you will see I will push my sessions more into this style, because I think it's original, and gives the moms a more valuable and timeless memory.

Let me know what you think of these photos, and look how beautiful my little sister is looking just about to be a mom.  Baby is almost here and I for one can't wait to become an auntie!!!!!

Fotografia de bebés * Explosión de color

Además de las sesiones de maternidad y bebés, una de mis preferidas es la del primer cumpleaños. Encontramos de todo, bebés que aman el azúcar, otros no tanto, los penosos, los que huyen de volada del "set" y los que nos regalan muchas risas.

Hoy quiero compartir la última sesión de pastel que hice fuera del estudio, los colores de la casa tengo que decir que ayudan mucho, y esta mamá tiene casi más props que yo XD  En fin que el resultado fue una maravilla, explosión de color total para recordar este momento tan importante en la vida de esta pequeña hermosa.

Advierto que es una peque muy tranquilita, siempre desde sus sesiones pasadas, cuando mira a la cámara es más por interés que sonriente, pero por lo mismo encuentro que en sus fotos ella tiene un aire un poco de muñeca antigua pero en un set de lo más moderno.  ¡Me encanta!

Eso si, como podrán ver, el pastel no le pareció tan interesante, lo importante en esta etapa de su vida son ¡Los globos!  a todos los niños les gustan los globos, pero nunca con tal intensidad como a ella!!!!

Diaro de una tía fotógrafa * Embarazo y moda

En la sesión de embarazo de la yoguini, empecé a poner en práctica lo aprendido el mes pasado en creativeLive con Sue Bryce y lo primero que quiero mostrar es el estilo "Calvin Klein".  Este estilo me gusta mucho, me parece muy clásico y limpio y ya hoy uso mucho de esto en mis sesiones, así que va genial, pero ahora puse especial atención en las poses y en marcar el estilo mucho más claramente.  Y el resultado me encantó.  Me parece que es perfecto para la yoguini y el cuñado,  muestra su personalidad real y tendrán estos retratos que se verán atemporales y juveniles para siempre.  XD

¿Ustedes qué opinan?  ¿Les gusta?  ¿No?

Pronto les comparto más, por ahora vean lo guapos que son estos dos, sobrini será un bebé guapisisisismo.  Si como tía tengo ninguna objetividad en el tema. JA

In my last session with my yoguini sis I started to practice consciently what Sue Bryce taught us last month in CreativeLive, and the first thing I want to show you is the "Calvin Klein" style.  I really love this style, I think it's classic and clean and I tend to already have some shots like these already in my maternity sessions, the difference is now I really placed attention in being really clear with the style, asked them for specific clothing, and poses and mood.  And I loved it!!!!!  I think it was perfect for the yoguini and the brother in law, showcases their personality and they will be able to keep these hip and timeless portraits forever.

Diario de una tía fotógrafa * 36 semanas

Oficialmente entramos a la cuenta regresiva, así que tuvimos que hacer a mi hermana la yoguini ya las fotos "oficiales" Si, esa sesión completa que hago con todas las mamás, papá incluido y toda la cosa.

¡Estuvo divertido!  aunque un poco raro, no es lo mismo cuando hay confianza, la sesión transcurrió entre chelas (del cuñado no de la embarazada), mis papás, el tennis en la tele y demás pero muy divertido al final.

Hay muchas fotos, unas muy divertidas, otras clásicas y unas más que todavía no termino de editar que incluyen lo que aprendí en mi viaje a Seattle para el curso de creativeLive, así que iré compartiendo todo eso en estas 4 semanitas que nos faltan para conocer a sobrini.  ;)

Por ahora el avance de la fruta  ¡Ya está del tamaño de una gran piña!   ehhhhhhh

It's officially the count down to meet the little addition to our family so we needed to do the official session, the one I do to all my clients, including dad and changes of clothes. 

It was fun!  weird, because it was like a crazy family reunion, some beer, tennis match in the tv, grandparents (my parents LOL), and lot's of clothes everywhere, but in the end very fun afternoon.

We got lots of photos, some classic ones, fun ones, and some where I tried all the new things I learned in my trip to Seattle for the workshop in creativeLive, so I will be sharing everything in this following weeks while we wait for little sobrini to decide to come out and meet us  ;)

Today, the fruit follow up, baby is the size of a pineapple!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyy
